Bio and Description
Dr. Lanighan is a Western New York native who received his undergraduate degree from Niagara University, graduated from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in 1993 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Lanighan served as a medical officer in the United States Navy aboard an aircraft carrier for two years and also as a staff orthopedic surgeon for two years. Leaving the Navy as a commander, he received advanced training at the National Center for Treatment of the Hand and Upper Extremity by completing a hand fellowship at the Raymond M. Curtis Hand Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Lanighan specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, as well as general orthopedics.
